I went on a Young Eagles field trip. I was in West Lebanon, NH. The people in my group were Luke, Tukie, Sophia, Emmaus, and me.
We were riding a helicopter known as Sharky. I got my snack and zoom! The first airplane took off with Mr. Freeman being pilot. It was awesome watching them take off. Zoom, the second airplane took off!
When I finished my snack, the first few people went into the helicopter. It took awhile, but they took off fifteen minutes later. They came back, and I got to go on the helicopter. It was awesome!
You could see cars, trucks, trees, fields, and even construction sites. We saw the country and cars and humans and fields. The helicopter top spins so fast.
When we landed, I got off and ran to my class and had a picnic lunch. Then we took a class photo and went to the control tower and went up.
When we got up there in the control tower, it was complex. I got to look through binoculars and a radio thingy. We went back to the deck, said goodbye to Mr. Freeman, and left.
Helicopters are very cool. They have a board of instruments so complex that I don’t even understand it. It was a brain-blowing experience. Really.
